Site indexing in Yandex and Bing
The site indexer has built-in functionality for sending IndexNow queries for indexing sites in Yandex, Bing and other search engines that support the IndexNow protocol.
Unlike Google Indexing API requests, search bots do not instantly arrive at the links sent by the IndexNow request. This is just a ping - by sending a request, we inform the search engines that there are pages on the site that need to be indexed.
To send requests, you need to follow a few simple steps.
Adding the IndexNow key to the site
Go to the IndexNow section in the admin panel. You will see the instructions at the top. Do as it says - add the txt key file to the root of the site that you will index, using the name and contents of the key file as written.
You can also generate a new key in the indexer options section. Change the value of "Secret for the IndexNow key" and you will have a new key. After that, do not forget to upload the new key to the root of the indexed site.
Adding links to the queue
When you added the key to the root of the indexed site, if you are sending IndexNow requests with this key for the first time, make sure that sending IndexNow requests is disabled.
After that, go to the "Add Urls" section, select the IndexNow queue. Download all the links that you want to index. Once added, they will appear at the bottom of the IndexNow section.
Checking and caching the IndexNow key
When the links are loaded, click on the "Check the key" button in the IndexNow section. At this point, the first link from the queue will be sent. If the key is set correctly, you will see a message that everything is fine.
Now wait 15-20 minutes for the search engines to check the key and remember it. These manipulations should be performed only when the key is used for the first time. In the future, it is enough to simply upload urls to the queue.
Starting sending IndexNow requests
Click on the "Enable" button. This completes the settings. The indexer will start sending requests every minute, with up to 10,000 links per request. As mentioned above, this is an alert to search engines about pages that need to be indexed. Search bots will come to the site according to their schedule, depending on the crowding budget, the workload of search bots and other factors. All successful requests from the IndexNow queue go into the log.
